About BA

Bachelor of Arts, also known as a BA, AB, or B.A., comes from the Latin baccalaureus artium, baccalaureus in artibus, or artium baccalaureus, and is granted for completion of an undergraduate programme in the arts or, sometimes other disciplines. Bachelor's degree course duration varies depending on the degree and the university, but it can be completed in three or four years.

The full form of the BA is Bachelor of Arts. The BA course is one of the highly demanding three-year undergraduate arts programmes available. BA degrees are available in a variety of fields, such as English, Hindi, History, Journalism, and Psychology. To be eligible for BA course, candidates must have passed class 12 with a minimum of 50%. BA (Hons) or BA in general courses can be taken full-time, part-time, by correspondence, or through distance education. BA students must study five subjects in addition to a few electives. The subjects will vary depending on the subject chosen. BA course fees range between INR 10K and INR 1L. Some of the subjects covered in a Bachelor of Arts degree are Liberal Arts, Social Studies, and Humanities. Specialisations offered by Bachelor of Arts programmes include Sociology, Political Science, Economics, History, English, and Philosophy. In regular and distance-learning ways, the average course duration of a Bachelor of Arts degree is three years.

Following graduation, students with a similar background can find after BA jobs as Executive Associates, HR Managers, Copywriters, Marketing Managers, Sales Directors, and in many other roles. However, after graduation, students might want to consider pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Arts (MA), or Juris Doctor degree, or they might want to consider going into the civil service. After completing a BA programme, average pay varies depending on specialisation. Generally, BA salary ranges between INR 3 and 10 LPA.

Furthermore, a Bachelor of Arts degree holder has plenty of higher-education options, including management, law, public relations, journalism, the arts, and humanities, among others. After getting a BA, graduates can pursue advanced degrees in the same or related fields, such as a Master of Arts (MA) or a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).

Why Choose BA

Bachelor of Arts degree has grown to be one of India's most sought-after courses. Candidates should pursue BA course for the following reasons:

  • When compared to other Bachelor's degrees, a BA provides more career opportunities than a Bachelor's degree in Science or Business. A Bachelor of Arts, as opposed to a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Business Administration, or Bachelor of Commerce, focuses on a broad range of concepts
  • A BA degree qualifies graduates to work in a variety of fields, including marketing, commerce, administration, finance, healthcare, and others
  • Following a BA provides you to work in the government sector. Earning a Bachelor's degree in the Arts is the best option for people interested in working in government because many government jobs, such as the SSC, require it
  • BA graduates can earn a good living by working as a researcher, journalist, assistant professor, psychologist, sociology professor, and so on
  • Also, they will have the opportunity to further their higher education in order to broaden their knowledge and strengthen their educational background

Furthermore, the State of Art Market Report 2023 states that, with a turnover of Rs 1,145 crore in FY23, the total turnover of art sales in India saw a 9% increase. Candidates can meet the needs of the employer and adjust to their changing demands thanks to the BA subjects.

Since a BA programme offers more career options than any other, students can assess the course's inherent value. In the first half of FY22–23, the Indian art industry brought in Rs 582.7 crore ($75.8 million), as reported by Indian Art Investor. Graduates of this course can choose from a wide variety of job roles. Students can pursue a wide range of career roles due to the flexibility of the specialisations available to them.

Admission Process of BA

Entrance exams are a common and popular way for some colleges to screen students to determine who will be admitted to the course. Many well-known colleges across the country have made a name for themselves through internationally recognised research projects. These colleges frequently hold entrance exams because the demand for admission is greater than the number of seats available.

Some of the most popular BA entrance exams are listed below:

CUETJSAT
TISSBATIPU CET
DU JATJNUEE (JNU CUET)
NIMSEEPUBDET

I still have a lot of studying to do using this course and the other practice exams, but so far it's been great! I have not taken my Security+ exam as well, so I'll update this at a later time.
